Alex Stewart joined Bell, Orr, Ayers & Moore in 2025. He focuses his practice on general civil litigation, including insurance defense, personal injury, and business litigation. Prior to joining BOAM, Alex worked as an attorney with the IRS Office of Chief Counsel in Louisville and Nashville, where he represented the IRS in litigation before the U.S. Tax Court. Alex also practiced law as an associate with a firm in Lexington, Kentucky, where his practice focused on criminal defense litigation at the state and federal levels.

Alex received his law degree from the University of Kentucky College of Law, where he was named to the Order of the Coif. During law school, Alex was a member of the Trial Advocacy Board and earned awards for his written and oral advocacy skills. Alex also earned numerous CALI awards, presented to the highest-performing student in each class, including for his work in the law school’s pro bono legal clinic.
